We’re Sisters in Law - Lalirra and Laura - the duo behind Red Dirt Co.

Lalirra, a proud Mithika/Dieri woman from Quilpie, is the artist bringing each design to life through her stunning Aboriginal artwork. Laura, originally from the Sunshine Coast, works her magic behind the scenes — turning creative ideas into something real.

Red Dirt Co. was born when we saw a gap in the market for beautiful, sustainable clothing that celebrates culture. Together, we wanted to educate little learners and help families connect with culture through art, stories, and hands-on experiences.

It all started with a cuppa, a big dream, and a plan — and we’ve never looked back since! ❤️

OUR MISSION

At Red Dirt Co., our mission is to inspire the next generation to connect with Aboriginal culture in meaningful, hands-on ways. Through our carefully designed clothing, apparel, and educational pieces, we bring the stories of Country to life - encouraging curiosity, respect, and understanding from an early age.

We incorporate Aboriginal culture into our designs and work with local First Nations women to create beautiful and culturally significant artwork patterns.

Our high-quality fabrics ensure that our clothing is not only stylish but comfortable and durable with a focus on organic fabrics.

That’s why every Red Dirt Co. creation - from the artwork to the educational pieces, is designed to spark conversation, celebrate heritage, and nurture pride in the world’s oldest living culture.

By blending creativity with connection, Red Dirt Co. aims to make Aboriginal art and storytelling part of everyday life, helping little hands and big hearts grow closer to Country.

We are proudly based in South West Queensland and are excited to share our love for the Channel Country with you!
